My name is N. Ann Lamphere, MSW. I’m a licensed social worker with over 40 years adoption experience. This blog is about my lifelong fascination with placing children.
The types of adoptions I’ve done include: international adoptions, infant adoptions, older children adoptions and special needs adoptions. I’m an adoption advocate and counselor.
I’m a single adoptive parent (the first single adoptive parent approved by a private agency in Utah and the first one approved by the State of Utah). My firsts continued when I became an adoption agency director as a single adoptive parent.
I’ve been trying to retire for the last 10 years, but clients, my adoption agency director and other adoption professionals keep begging me to continue working. So I keep going. In the last 23 years, I’ve been involved in over 500 placements.
This blog will focus on adoptions, but that’s not my only interest. I do family genealogy that goes along with my love of history. I’m also very involved in my family’s arts and crafts on-line e-commerce store, harmsfamilycrafters.com.
Giving potential adoptive parents guidance is the most satisfying thing I do and I never, ever charge for my services. Please email me at firstname.lastname@example.org if you have any questions. I look forward to hearing from you.
